This is a fundamental strategy to evade the attacking range after which the boxer can follow up with other strategies.
1.The attacker throws the left punch directly into the defender’s face while guarding steadily with the right hand.
2.The defender steps diagonally forward outside of the attacking circle, then puts weight on the right foot

and parries the punch off the face with an arm.If the attacker approaches with the left knee, then, defend with the opposite side of the body. Practice on both left and right sides until the body moves instinctively, skillfully and quickly. This is the basic skill for the slow crouch-walk tactic which comes together with other Muaythai strategies.

2.Paksa Weak Rung

This strategy is used to do the clinch and also to set up for use of other Muaythai strategies.
1.The attacker throws the right punch direct at the defender’s face while keeping the left hand steadily poised and ready to punch.
2.The defender steps the right foot diagonally forward to the right side,

then puts weight on it. Next, the defender uses the left hand to parry the attacker’s punch off the face and at the same time attacks the opponent with the straight forward punch.
If the attacker strikes with the left punch, then, use this defending technique but with the opposite side.

3.Java Sad Hok

This strategy is used as a basic move for the outside throwing punch and then strike back immediately with an elbow.

1.The attacker throws the  punch direct into the defender’s face while guarding steadily with the right hand.

2.The defender steps the right foot diagonally forward to the right side, then puts weight on it by sliding the body toward the attacker.

Next, the defender uses the left hand to parry the attacker’s punch away, then bends the right arm to thrust an elbow to the attacker’s lower rib-cage. If the attacker strikes with the right punch, then, defend using the opposite side. During training, instead of using an elbow to strike the attack’s lower rib-cage, the defender should use an arm as a counterattack to avoid causing any severe injury to the sparring partner.

This is a fundamental strategy to block the punch by swaying the upward attacking punch away
1.The attacker throws the left punch direct into the defender’s face and guards steadily with the right hand.
2.The defender steps the left foot diagonally into the clinching circle and puts weight on it,

and at the same time, bends the right arm to protect the attacking punch the face. Then, the defender hits the attacker’s punch away and instantly throws the left punch at the attacker’s chin

This strategy is used to catch the opponent’s punch on the outside of the attacking circle. Then, the defender thrusts a push-kick on the opponent’s torso, stomach or the lower rib-cage. This is one of the more aggressive strategies.
1.The attacker throws the left punch direct into the defender’s face with the right hand guarding steadily

2.The defender steps the right foot diagonally forward, then puts weight on it. At the same time when the attacker’s left punch passes through the left shoulder, the right foot is stepping on the ground. Immediately, the defender throws a counter strike powerfully direct to the attacker’s lower rib-cage.
If the attacker strikes with the right punch, then, defend using the opposite side.

2.The defender uses the right hand to grab the attacker’s right wrist while punching and then uses the left arm to catch the attacker’s elbow.

At the same time, the defender bends the body backward to slow down the punch and instantly attacks the opponent by elbowing or thrusting a push-kick to the opponent’s torso or lower rip-cage.
If the attacker strikes with the right punch, then, use the opposite side of the body to defend

2.The defender moves a half step forward, then, twists the body using the right leg as the center.

Next, the boxer lifts up the elbow and pivots to block the opponent’s kick while guarding the left hand steadily to protect the side of the neck and face
If the attacker approaches with the left kick, then, defend with the opposite side of the body and use the hand to catch the attacker’s kick instead of the elbow.

2.The defender twists the body toward the attacker’s thrusting kick, then, puts weight on the left foot while lifting the right foot up.

The right hand is placed in front of the body to hit the opponent’s toe and then catch the opponent’s heel. Next, the boxer twists the hand that catches the opponent’s toe and pulls the heel with the left hand toward the body, then, knees the calf to break the opponent’s foot.
Boxers must practice this strategy carefully by kneeing softly on the training partner’s calf to avoid any severe injury.

13.Hak Nguan Aiyara

This strategy is used to block and decrease the kicking power by thrusting the elbow on the opponent’s upper thigh.
1.The attacker approaches and executes the sweeping kick aimed at the defender’s lower rib-cage while both hands guarding steadily.
2.The defender approaches quickly with left foot toward the opponent and turns the face towards the direction from which the opponent attacked,

then, hits the attacker’s upper thigh forcefully. After that, the defender catches the attacker’s calf with the left hand and then tries to lift the leg up to make the opponent lose balance to avoid the opponent’s attack using an elbowing technique to the head.

If the attacker strikes with the right foot, then, use the opposite side of the body to defend

14.Wirun Hok Klap

This strategy is used to catch the kick by hitting the attacker’s upper thigh with the heel
1.The attacker approaches and executes the sweeping kick aiming for the defender’s lower rib-cage while both hands are guarding steadily.

All the while with both hands guarding steadily to protect the opponent’s attack aiming for the lower rib-cage
If the attacker strikes with the right foot, then, use the opposite side of the body to defend.
During training, boxers should hit the sparring partner softly to avoid any severe injury.

1.The attacker approaches and strikes the right kick aiming at the defender‘s neck with both hands guarding steadily

2.The defender approaches toward the attacking kick, then, twists the body and blocks the kick with the right elbows, and at the same time, turns the body and executes the spinning elbow.
If the attacker approaches with the left kick, then, defend with the opposite side of the body

If the attacker approaches with the left knee, defend with the opposite side of the body. During training, boxers shouldn’t push the sparring partner aggressively, just a slight push is enough to avoid any severe injury.

19.Baen Su Me Ru

stomach with both hands, guarding steadily.

1.2. The defender steps the right foot into the inner circle. Next, the defender uses the left hand to parry the attacker’s knee aside, then immediately thrusts the knee forcefully at the attacker’s face.
If the attacker approaches with the left knee, then, defend with the opposite side of the body.

This strategy is used to catch the elbow thrown from above by bending the knee down and then, uses the forearm to block the attacker’s elbow, and instantly counters back with the powerful punch.
1.The attacker approaches and tries to throw the elbow strike at the middle of the defender’s head

2.The defender ducks the body and head down a little to decrease the power of the attacking elbow. The defender puts the forearm in front of the head to block the elbow attacking from above, and immediately, counters back with the powerful punch.
If using the left arm to block the attack, then, defend with the opposite side of the body

21.Phra Ram Hak Son

This strategy is used to catch the throwing elbow in a close range and then twist the attacker’s arm.
1.The attacker approaches and throws the left elbow strike at the defender’s face with both hands guarding steadily.
2.The defender approaches diagonally with the left foot, then, grabs the attacker’s knee with the right hand and at the same time grabs the attacker’s wrist with the left hand.

At this moment, the defender tries to avoid the attacking elbow of the opponent and pushes it down with the left hand, then uses the right hand to force the elbow up to twist the shoulder of the opponent.
If the attacker approaches with the right elbow, then, defend with the opposite side of the body.

22.Phra Ram Fat Son

This strategy is used to block the elbow uppercut by using the side hand to chop at the attacker’s elbow joint.

If the attacker approaches with the left elbow, then, defend with the opposite side of the body.

23.Phra Ram Yan Son

1.The attacker approaches and attacks with elbow with both hands guarding steadily.

2.The defender steps diagonally with the right foot toward the right side of the opponent, then, uses the right hand to push against the attacker’s shoulder to decrease the attacking power of the elbow. The defender then attacks the opponent’s face with the left elbow or strikes the right knee at the opponent’s lower rib-cage.
If the attacker approaches with the left elbow, then, defend with the opposite side of the body.
